Welcome!
The Scottish Political Communication Network brings together researchers across Scotland who study the intersections of communication, media, and politics. We welcome scholars at all career stages exploring these themes in any context, from a range of methodological and disciplinary perspectives.
ScotPolComm provides a collaborative space for networking, dialogue, and idea‑sharing, fostering connections and encouraging collaboration among colleagues based at institutions throughout Scotland. The network also welcomes early-career scholars, PhD students and postdocs, aiming to provide support and mentorship among members.
ScotPolComm was founded in 2025. It currently includes researchers from the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, and Strathclyde, and it is open to colleagues from any other Scottish university. The network is proudly interdisciplinary, drawing members from a range departments including Communication, Humanities, Politics and International Relations, and Sociology.
